The June BBQ

Published by admin under credit union

Yesterday we had our annual late spring BBQ at the credit union with about 150 people attending. Of course our President was the chief cook and had help from Kari. It was great to see everyone and have some time to catch up.  At least the weather was half decent, no rain!

The end of February

Published by admin under credit union, staff

It’s that crazy time of year again! RRSP has been the buzz word and the enthusiasm abundant! Added to the excitement there are always those of us who tend to leave things til the last minute when we know it’s coming around a year in advance! Oh well, we are as busy as I can recall from my past 15 years at this time so things are good. I think that saving for one’s future has finally caught on for the younger generation.

Speaking of saving for the future, won’t it be interesting as to how the new Budget’s “TFSA” (tax-free savings account) is received by Canadians. Fancy that…the Federal Government is enthusiastic about trying to reduce our tax dollars or is it a pre-election ploy that will be axed with the next change of government?
